7 January 2024

Why not join us for our first walk of 2024. No need to book, just turn up at the most convenient bus stop.
Start on the A6 opposite Haddon Hall. Walk over Haddon fields and drop down into Lathkill dale. Alport, Bradford, Elton, Birchover. Over Stanton Moor to the Nine Ladies Stone Circle. Descend through Endcliffe Quarry to Stanton Woodhouse and on to Rowsley, where the coach will pick us up either in the Peak Village car park or just outside at 3.45pm.
There are no facilities en route, except the Druids Inn at Birchover where we will stop for lunch. They are happy for us to sit outside and eat our own food, they serve Tea, coffee and of course beer. It being Sunday they will probably be busy so they are unable to cater for a large group eating there. There may be time for a post walk drink in the Grouse and Claret in Rowsley. 10.5 miles
