Kinder Downfall
11 June 2023

We start from the Mam Tor car park, then descend into the Vale of Edale to Barber Booth, then along to Upper Booth. A steady climb up Jacob’s Ladder and we reach the highest point of Kinder Scout at Kinder Low. Then along the edge of Kinder with great views, to reach Kinder Downfall. After a break here we’ll go past Kinder Gates, follow the river bed across the moorland, to attain Grindslow Knoll. A descent from here brings us to Edale village. From here it’s an ‘up and over’ to Castleton to the finish, for a 6,30 pm departure. This walk is being kindly led by Alan Woods as David has a slight injury at the moment. Approx 13 miles.
New people are always most welcome. No need to pre-book, just turn up at one of the coach pick-up points listed below. For more information or help or advice of any kind, please ring Helen, our Secretary or John Price. Contact details are on the home page of the website.
