Dovedale

A classic White Peak 12 mile linear walk, encompassing a number of beautiful dales. As usual a shorter walk option should be available. Lunch at Milldale.
The ramble will start from the village of Hartington and head south down Beresford Dale and Wolfscote Dale, before stopping at Milldale – where there are refreshments and toilets
Continuing south in the afternoon, we walk the entire length of Dovedale and skirt Ilam village. We then cross the River Dove at Caldwell Bridge, finishing at the Dog and Partridge Inn, near the village of Thorpe – for a 5.30 pm coach departure home.
We always welcome new people to our club. No need to book, just turn up at your nearest coach pick-up place. The fare is £14, however if you want to give us a try, your first walk with us is free.
