Chatsworth
17 March 2024

This interesting and varied twelve mile circular walk starts from Rowsley. We walk through the fields to Carlton Lees, then up onto Carlton Pastures, through Ball Cross wood to the road. Follow the road for a short distance then take the track down to the pretty village of Edensor, where there is a tea room.
From Edensor the walk takes us over to Chatsworth House and up through Stand Wood. We then follow the ridge, with good views, eventually descending steeply through the woods to Beeley. We then take field paths back to Rowsley for a 5.45pm bus departure.
As ever new walkers are most welcome. No need to prebook or join, you can sample two walks before a membership fee is payable, of £10, which is valid until January 2025.
